Pastor Moses

Rev. Elizabeth Moses has been serving as Pastor of Bethany Reformed Church, Albany NY, since January 1, 2023. She grew up a military brat, living in many different places, including Italy - twice.

She is a graduate of Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, FL, with a major in Sociology and a minor in Religious Studies. She then went on to the Presbyterian School of Christian Education (now Union Presbyterian Seminary, Richmond, VA) earning a MA. As a Certified Christian Educator with the Presbyterian Church (USA), she served five Presbyterian Church (USA) congregations over twenty years. In 2013, Elizabeth was ordained as a Minister of Word and Sacrament. She served a three-point parish in southern Illinois, and a congregation in Watertown, NY. In her years of ministry, Elizabeth has served at the Presbytery level on various committees and councils.

In 2000, Elizabeth adopted Nell. Nell works at Whole Foods, and is currently attending Hudson Valley Community College. The Moses family also includes Samuel and Evie, their four-legged felines.

An educator at heart, Elizabeth is passionate about helping individuals grow in their faith and continue to respond to God’s call for their lives.
